01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located right on the picturesque harbor at 9 Quai des Baux in the charming town of Cassis, Cesar la Suite offers an inviting blend of classic French cuisine and a lively bar atmosphere that captures the very essence of Provence dining. This delightful French restaurant is a true gem for visitors seeking both exquisite flavors and awe-inspiring views of the sparkling Mediterranean waters.

Step inside, and you’ll instantly appreciate the warm and cozy ambiance, where the gentle sea breeze mingles with the hum of friendly chatter and soft clinking of glasses. The setting is perfect for a leisurely lunch or an intimate dinner, especially when paired with the panoramic vistas of the harbor just outside the windows. It’s a place where every glance outwards invites you to slow down and savor the moment.

The menu at Cesar la Suite showcases the very best of fresh, local ingredients prepared with the subtle elegance of French culinary tradition. Highlights from visitors’ favorites include vibrant, crisp salads bursting with garden-fresh flavors, such as the Chicken Caesar Salad praised for its balanced richness. For those craving something heartier, the plat du jour—like the inventive Hamburger Fish & Chips featuring a perfectly breaded fish sandwich served alongside golden fries—offers a delightful twist on classic comfort food. Seafood lovers will especially appreciate the fresh fish selections that reflect the bounty of the nearby sea, marrying delicate textures with expertly crafted seasoning.

Guest reviews often echo a sentiment of genuine warmth and attentive service, with staff going the extra mile to enhance the dining experience—an occasional free shot at the end of the meal is a charming touch that speaks to their hospitality. The beverage program is as thoughtful as the food, featuring carefully selected local Provence wines and refreshing gin cocktails that perfectly complement each course. Ending your meal with a rich espresso is a quintessential French way to seal the experience.

While the pace can sometimes reflect the busy rhythms of high season, the overall atmosphere remains relaxed and welcoming, encouraging diners to linger and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Whether you’re settling in for a midday feast or a twilight aperitif, Cesar la Suite delivers not only delicious dishes but also a memorable moment by the sea—where every bite is elevated by the spectacular view and genuine friendliness.

For anyone wandering through Cassis, Cesar la Suite stands out as a must-visit destination to immerse oneself in the flavors and spirit of southern France.

Good food, fresh fish, great drinks, and the views can’t be beat! Fun place for lunch in Cassis! My wife had a Chicken Caesar Salad and I had the plat du jour, a “Hamburger Fish & Chips” which was a breaded fish sandwich with fries. The local Provence wine and gin cocktail were both great, and we finished our meal with espressos. Très délicieux, bon appétit!

We went to this restaurant randomly. While waiting for the menu i was afraid reading the reviews but in the end food was nice, friendly services but was very slow. I assume this is not too unexpected during high season.
